MOSCOW, December 15 (RIA Novosti)m - Gazprom Neft, the oil producing arm of energy giant Gazprom, said on Monday its U.S. GAAP net profit grew 84.5%, year-on-year, in January-September to $5.2 billion.
The company's revenue climbed 86% to $27.32 billion in the reporting period, Gazprom Neft said.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased 73% to $7.76 billion.
Gazprom Neft attributed improved financial results in the first nine months of 2008 to high oil prices, with the price of Urals blend averaging $108.12 per barrel in the reporting period compared with $63.89 in the same period last year.
