ST. PETERSBURG, January 11 (RIA Novosti) - Two dozens tombs at a municipal cemetery outside St. Petersburg were found on Sunday to have been damaged, local prosecutors said on their website.
The crosses above the damaged tombs were broken and toppled, the pictures of the buried people covered with paint, and Satanist symbols carved on grave markers, prosecutors said in a statement.
A criminal case has been launched. If found, the culprits could face up to three months in jail.
