KOROLYOV (Moscow Region), January 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's new air carrier Rosavia has been officially registered, the chief of the Russian Technology Corporation said on Thursday.
"Rosavia has already been registered. [Vitaly] Vantsev is its general director for the time being," Sergei Chemezov said.
Vantsev, chairman of the board of directors of Moscow's Vnukovo International Airport, was recommended for the job at the company's first meeting in October 2008.
Chemezov said the members of the board of directors had also been appointed. He did not however specify the company's charter capital.
Rosavia will involve the assets of bankrupt air alliance AirUnion and other airlines, such as Rossiya and Atlant-Soyuz. The Russian Technology Corporation and Moscow's government will hold 51% and 49% respectively in the air carrier.
