MOSCOW, January 24 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Igor Andreev, seeded 18, lost his third-round singles match to James Blake from the U.S. at the Australian Open in Melbourne on Saturday.
Ninth-seeded Blake dominated the game winning in four sets (3:6, 2:6, 6:3, 1:6) only losing his serve once, in the third set, to book a fourth-round encounter with France's Jo-Wilfried-Tsonga.
It is a blow for Andreev, who in six attempts has never made it passed the third round in the grand slam tournament at Melbourne Park.
