MOSCOW, January 29 (RIA Novosti) - Municipal authorities in the hometown of Guus Hiddink, the Dutch trainer of the Russian national soccer side, have decided to demolish a museum devoted to the 62-year-old, Sport Express said on Thursday.
The museum was opened in the Dutch town of Varsseveld in 2002 by a South Korean company after Hiddink took the Koreans to the semifinals of that year's World Cup.
The museum was visited by a large number of guests in its first two years of existence, but attendance fell off dramatically in 2005, and it was closed down. A residential building is to be built in its place.
The former Real Madrid, Netherlands and South Korea coach took over the Russian national side in 2006 and led them to the last four of Euro 2008.
