MOSCOW, February 14 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's top seed Vera Zvonareva overcame Israel's Shahar Peer on Saturday to reach the final of the Pattaya Open tennis tournament in Thailand.
Zvonareva beat the seventh-seeded Peer in two straight sets 6-1 6-4.
The Russian player will face in the finals on Sunday India's Sania Mirza, who won over Slovakia's Magdalena Rybarikova in three sets 6-4 5-7 6-1.
Mirza won a mixed doubles champion title at last month's Australian Open, but has not qualified for singles final since the 2007 Stanford tournament.
