NIZHNY NOVGOROD, February 18 (RIA Novosti) - Some 22 kilograms (48.5 lbs) of heroin and 6.5 kilograms (14.3 lbs) of hashish has been seized in Russia's southwest Urals city of Ufa, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.
The drugs, worth about 60 million rubles ($1.7 million) on the local black market, were seized from an Ufa local and two Kyrgyz nationals, the spokesman said, adding that the narcotics had been smuggled from Afghanistan, the world's leading heroin producer.
