MOSCOW, March 2 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Reserve Fund stood at 4.869 trillion rubles ($136.33 billion) and the National Wealth Fund at 2.995 trillion rubles ($83.86 billion) as of March 1, the Finance Ministry said Monday.
As of February 1, Russia's Reserve Fund stood at 4.9 trillion rubles ($137 billion) and the National Wealth Fund at 2.991 trillion rubles ($84 billion).
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said in mid-February at an economic conference that the country's Reserve Fund would be sufficient to balance the budget "in this and subsequent years."
The Reserve Fund was designed to cushion the federal budget against a fall in oil prices.
