MOSCOW, April 8 (RIA Novosti) - Foreign ministers of the Group of Eight leading industrial nations will meet on June 25-27 in Trieste, Italy, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
It said G8 political directors had met on April 6-7 in Taormina in Italy, which holds the G8 presidency this year.
Russia's representative at the talks, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, said they discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of foreign ministers and the agenda for the G8 summit scheduled for July 8-10 on La Maddalena Island.
Ryabkov added that the meeting also had discussed North Korea's recent rocket launch and stabilization in Afghanistan.
