MOSCOW, April 13 (RIA Novosti) - A blaze in a homeless shelter in northwest Poland has left 21 dead and 20 injured, Poland's PAP news agency reported on Monday.
The shelter's administration said that at least 77 homeless people were in the three-storey building in Kamien Pomorski, when the fire broke out late Sunday.
The exact number of people thought to have been in the building at the time the fire started, along with the identities of the victims, is being verified.
Firefighters have extinguished the blaze and fire investigators are sifting through the debris to establish the cause.
