"The project that we are currently doing with Elton John is unprecedented," said Nadezhda Solovyova, the head of the group of companies SAV Entertainment and "Russian Show-Center."
The show, featuring Elton on his famous red Yamaha grand piano, as well as pop art, neon sculpture, inflatable figures and balloons, was first staged in 2004 in the luxury Las Vegas casino Caesars Palace.
Due to overwhelming demand, the singer's engagement was extended for an additional 166 shows, bringing the final number to more than 240. The final Las Vegas show was staged on Wednesday.
The Red Piano sets will be dismantled from the Las Vegas stage and transported to Russia in 48 trucks.
"It [the show] will not involve just Elton John and his band," the other head of the group, Vladimir Zubitskiy, said. "Over 120 people arrive with the show."
