CHISINAU, April 24 (RIA Novosti) - Moldovan opposition leaders and EU representatives will be included in the make-up of a commission to look into recent riots in the Moldovan capital of Chisinau, the EU foreign policy chief said on Friday.

Javier Solana was speaking after a meeting with Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin.

The EU official also said that the Moldovan leader had assured him that an amnesty for those detained in the violence would be carried out in full. He also added that he hoped for cooperation between the ruling Communist Party and opposition factions in the newly elected parliament.

Violence broke out in the Moldovan capital after the Communist Party won the country's April 5 parliamentary polls.

Voronin's Communist Party won almost 50% of votes in the elections and will have 60 seats in the 101-seat legislature. The poll results were subsequently confirmed in a vote recount.
