"Of course I will attend, there can be no doubt," Dmitry Medvedev said during a video link with regional TV studios as part of the Svyaz-Expocomm 2009 communications exhibition in Moscow.
The forum will be held June 4-6 and be devoted to urgent issues of the modern stage of global development.
Presidential aide Arkady Dvorkovich earlier said Medvedev will open the first plenary session of the forum, Global Economic Crisis - the First Lessons and a View of the Future, at which the Russian leader is expected to address aspects of international and domestic policy.
Dvorkovich also said the president of the Philippines, Gloria Macapagel Arroyo, would be among the participants at the forum, which gathers world politicians and business leaders.
Economic Development Minister Elvira Nabiullina has said the forum will be divided into two parts: economic and financial, and that it will involve over 2,000 participants.
Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin is expected to deliver a report as part of the financial part and First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov will hold discussions on anti-crisis management with heads of Russian and foreign corporations.
