Warner Bros presents Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins directed by Joseph "McG" McGinty Nichol. This is the fourth film in the Terminator saga.
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins is the fourth film in a saga about John Connor’s war against cyborgs.
The film had a $200 million budget. Screenplays for two more sequels are currently in the making.
In the film, a mature John Connor, played by Christian Bale, faces an entire army of Terminators and Skynet, an artificially intelligent system which became self-aware and revolted against its creators. The film also stars Helena Bonham Carter as Dr. Serena Kogan, Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese and Samuel "Sam" Worthington as Marcus Wright.
The Austrian bodybuilder Roland Kickinger, who previously portrayed Schwarzenegger in the 2005 biopic See Arnold Run, played the famous T-800 Model 101 cyborg. Schwarzenegger, now serving as Governor of California, was unable to star in the film.
Project authors say the Terminator brand’s promotion will not be affected by the absence of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
