MOSCOW, June 6 (RIA Novosti) - A police officer died when a bomb, which had been planted in a toilet, detonated in the capital of Russia's North Caucasus republic of Daghestan, a law enforcement spokesperson said on Saturday.
The blast occurred early Saturday morning, when the officer went to use a toilet located some 20 meters from a police post, the spokesperson said.
"The police officer died instantly from his injuries," the source said.
An investigation has been launched to try and trace the bomber.
