MOSCOW, June 29 (RIA Novosti) - A meeting of the Russian and U.S. co-chairs of an inter-parliamentary working group will take place in Warsaw later on Monday, a senior Russian lawmaker has said.
"The agenda will include matters related to the upcoming Moscow summit, where presidents Dmitry Medvedev and Barack Obama will launch a 'reset' of Russian-U.S. relations," said Mikhail Margelov, head of the international committee at the upper house of the Russian parliament.
He added that the talks would see discussions of nuclear arms cuts, nonproliferation, and the fight against international terror and piracy. He also stressed confidence-building measures would be a key topic.
Meanwhile, members of the U.S. House of Representatives began a two-day visit to Russia on Monday to discuss urgent issues of bilateral relations ahead of Obama's visit to Moscow on July 6-8.
