YEKATERINBURG, July 12 (RIA Novosti) - Rescuers have found the boat that sank in northwest Siberia on July 4, as a result of which three journalists are still missing, the Urals regional emergencies center said on Sunday.
"The boat was found this night. It is being towed to a shallow place," the centre said.
The motorboat capsized on the Ob River due to strong winds with three crewmembers and six journalists on board, some 20 km (12 miles) from the town of Salekhard.
"As a result of the boat's sinking, three employees of the [local] TV and radio company went missing. The other six people who were on board the boat during the incident were taken to the Salekhard hospital, where they received first aid," a spokesman for the Investigative Committee earlier told RIA Novosti.
The journalists were on an expedition to collect information on the lives of fishermen on the Yamal peninsula for the Yamal Region TV and Radio Broadcasting Company.
According to preliminary information, the captain failed to halt the trip despite receiving a storm warning.
