TYUMEN, July 17 (RIA Novosti) - Rescuers have recovered the bodies of two journalists who were killed when a motorboat sank in the Ob River in northwest Siberia in early July, a local emergencies spokesman said on Friday.
"Divers have recovered the bodies of two people. The inspection of the boat is continuing," he said.
The boat capsized due to strong winds on July 4 with three crewmembers and six journalists on board, some 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the town of Salekhard in northern Russia's Yamal Autonomous Area.
The captain had apparently failed to halt the trip despite receiving a storm warning.
The journalists were on an expedition to collect information on floods on the Yamal Peninsula.
Three crew members and three journalists were rescued. A search for the third journalist is continuing.
