WASHINGTON, July 31 (RIA Novosti) - The space shuttle Endeavour touched down at 10:48 a.m. EDT (14:48 GMT) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, NASA said on Friday.
It was the 23rd flight for Endeavour and the 29th shuttle visit to the International Space Station (ISS).
While visiting the ISS, the seven astronauts connected a new addition to Japan's $1 billion laboratory, installed fresh batteries, and stockpiled some spare parts.
The shuttle mission lasted 16 days, during which the craft traveled 6.5 million miles (10.5 million kilometers).
The astronauts carried out five spacewalks and helped their station colleagues when a toilet flooded and an air purifier overheated.
The next shuttle launch is scheduled for August 18.
