MOSCOW, August 24 (RIA Novosti) - Reigning champions Rubin and challengers Spartak Moscow look set for an August 30 showdown after both sides won at the weekend.
Rubin beat Dynamo Moscow 3-0 in the Russian capital, a disputed penalty in each half from Alejandro Dominguez giving the Kazan side a 2-0 lead before Alexander Ryazantsev grabbed the third in the last minute.
Spartak Moscow went three up against Terek in Grozny with two goals from Welliton, his 14th and 15th of the season, and Pavel Yakovlev in the first half before the Chechen side pulled two back. Spartak never looked liked letting the three points slip away though and remain one point behind Rubin.
Rubin travel to Moscow's Luzhniki stadium on August 30 to take on Spartak in a game that Sovetsky Sport has billed as the "title decider." However, with 11 games to go, the paper may be jumping the gun slightly.
