WARSAW, September 3 (RIA Novosti) - Polish parliamentarians from the Law and Justice Party proposed on Thursday to adopt a special resolution condemning the invasion of Poland by Soviet troops in September 1939.
According to the proposed resolution, "a tribute should be made to the victims of the aggression by the Soviet Union and Hitler's Germany on Poland on September 17, 1939."
"Fascism and communism - the two totalitarian regimes of the 20th century - and their leaders bear responsibility for the start of the Second World War and its consequences," the draft resolution says.
The Law and Justice Party was created by Polish President Lech Kaczynski and his twin brother Jaroslaw, a former Polish prime minister.
