MOSCOW, September 4 (RIA Novosti) - VTB, Russia's second largest bank, has posted a net loss of 16.58 billion rubles ($524.7 million), calculated to Russian Accounting Standards, in the first eight months of the current year.
In August, VTB's net loss was 6.869 billion rubles ($217 million).
VTB is the leading bank in VTB Group. Its main shareholder is the state.
