MOSCOW, September 9 (RIA Novosti) - The U.S. shuttle Discovery with seven crew members onboard has undocked the International Space Station (ISS), NASA said on Wednesday.
Pilot Kevin Ford undocked Discovery from the International Space Station at 23:26 p.m. Moscow time (19:26 GMT). Before making the final separation burn, the shuttle is to conduct a flyaround of the space station. The video, taken during the maneuver, will be used to assess general condition of the station and to inspect for possible damage.
The shuttle is expected to land on Thursday at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
The Discovery space shuttle docked with the International Space Station late on August 31, delivering more than seven tons of cargo, including the Leonardo supply module, and a new crew member. Three spacewalks were performed during the mission.
