Russia's double Olympic pole vault champion Yelena Isinbayeva says she has plans to retire from top-flight sport until after the 2013 world athletic championships in Moscow.

MOSCOW, September 10 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's double Olympic pole vault champion Yelena Isinbayeva says she has plans to retire from top-flight sport until after the 2013 world athletic championships in Moscow.

"With my trainer (Vitaly Petrov) we came to the joint opinion that I would end my career in four years' time, after the Moscow world championships," the 27-year-old world record holder said.

Isinbayeva, who is one of Russia's most successful sporting stars, admitted that she dreamed of a family and children, but said she was unable to combine sport and family life.

"To give birth and return to sport - that isn't for me. I am the sort of person who dedicates myself 100% to something. If I give birth then I would want to always be with my child, and then sport would move into second place or even third place," she said.

The pole vaulter, who set a new world record of 5.06 m, her 27th, in Zurich on August 28, said she was looking at a possible career in politics after sport.

"I would like to get into politics, perhaps even social work, or to become a sporting envoy. I think, that I could mix business and family," Isinbayeva said, adding that she tries to help children in her native Volgograd.

"I would like to give children some happiness, so that they had faith and knew that people are good," she said.
