LONDON, September 11 (RIA Novosti) - Seven people were detained on Friday during clashes between far-right protestors and anti-fascists near a mosque under construction in northwest London's Harrow, Sky News reported.
Clashes occurred when the Stop Islamification of Europe group, which had been given permission to hold a rally, was confronted by members of the Unite Against Fascism group and local Muslims.
There are no reports of serious injuries.
A week ago, similar events rocked another British city when English Defense League supporters and anti-fascists clashed in downtown Birmingham. Police then arrested 90 people.
