AMSTERDAM, September 12 (RIA Novosti) - Russia’s mass communications ministry hopes that the federal target program on the development of digital television and radio broadcasting will be approved by the government in November, a deputy minister said.
“I do not want to make forecasts, but there is the hope that the program will be approved in November this year,” Alexander Zharov said.
The federal target program on the development of the digital television and radio broadcasting between 2008 and 2015 was approved by all relevant departments and submitted by the economics development ministry to the government for its further approval in June this year.
Zharov also said that foreign companies may take part in various tenders within the framework of the program.
The program is planned to be implemented in two stages and envisages financial allocations of some 127 billion rubles ($4.1 billion).
