MOSCOW, September 13 (RIA Novosti) - Three policemen and a woman were killed and some 10 people were wounded when a blast occurred in India's northern Jammu and Kashmir state, local media reported.
The accident occurred in the state's capital of Srinagar at about 6 p.m. local time (12.30 p.m. GMT) on Saturday, local police said. The car parked near the Central Jail exploded when a police bus passed by it after dropping detainees at the jail, Hindustan Times reported.
"Two police personnel and a woman passing by died in the blast. Ten people were injured, two of them seriously," the newspaper quoted local police as saying.
The pro-Pakistan Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen Islamist group claimed responsibility for the attack, the Times of India said.
