PITTSBURGH, September 25 (RIA Novosti) - Russia welcomes the decisions so far taken at the ongoing G20 summit on the reform of the International Monetary Fund, the finance minister said Friday.
"On the IMF issue, I think we are satisfied," Alexei Kudrin told journalists, adding that no decision has yet been made on the reform of the World Bank.
The Russian government has repeatedly called for urgent reforms of international financial institutions, to give emerging economies more votes in decision-making.
Kudrin also said that despite the emergence of the G20, the G8 is still a relevant organization.
"The large-scale format of G20 does not impede the G8 format... I believe they can co-exist well," he said.
