MOSCOW, October 5 (RIA Novosti) - Net private capital outflow from Russia was $31.5 billion in the third quarter of 2009, and amounted to $62.3 billion in January-September, the Central Bank said on Monday.
Banks contributed to the bulk ($28.5 billion) of the outflow in the reporting period.
The figure was $16 billion in July, $9.4 billion in August and $6 billion in September.
In the first quarter of 2009, net capital outflow was $35.2 billion, while Russia posted a net private capital inflow of $4.4 billion in the second quarter of the year.
Other sectors of the Russian economy experienced net capital flight of $3 billion in July-September 2009.
Russia's net capital outflow was $130 billion in 2008.
