BUENOS AIRES, October 16 (RIA Novosti) - Three people have died in a helicopter crash on the south of Dominican Republic, the Dominican Institute for civil aviation has reported.
The accident occurred in San Jose de Ocoa province on Thursday evening. The Colibri light helicopter took off from the capital, Santo Domingo, and crashed into a mountain in heavy rain. The bodies of the pilot and two passengers have been found.
The helicopter belonged to Dominican consul in Haiti, who was not on board.
Aviation officials are investigating the cause of the crash.
