MOSCOW, October 17 (RIA Novosti) - Russian internationals Andrei Arshavin and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov both scored for their clubs on Saturday in the English Premier League.

Arshavin, who came on for injured England star Theo Walcott in the 32nd minute, scored Arsenal's third goal in a 3-1 win over Birmingham City.

"It's difficult to say why I was left on the bench," Arshavin told Radio Zenit. "Basically, I wasn't expecting to play much, but Walcott got injured so I had to come on in the first-half."

Former Lokomotiv captain Bilyaletdinov rescued a point for new side Everton at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers, striking home to make it 1-1 in the 88th minute after a cross from former CSKA Moscow forward Jo.

"He took his goal well," Everton manager David Moyes told the BBC. "A lot of our best attacking came through Bilyaletdinov, he played well and deserved his goal."

However, the Everton coach also said that the Russian was still "finding his feet."

"It's hard for even our own boys from this country to come into a Premier League side," Moyes added. "But when you come from Russia, from a different continent, that's very difficult."

Things were not so good for Russia's other two representatives in England. Both Tottenham Hotspur's Roman Pavlyuchenko and Chelsea's Yury Zhirkov were unused substitutes.

Tottenham beat Portsmouth 2-1 away and Chelsea lost 2-1 at Aston Villa.
