ABU DHABI, October 21 (RIA Novosti) - Women in Kuwait have won the right to receive passports without the permission of their husbands, national media reported on Wednesday.
The Kuwait Constitutional Court ruled that a 1962 law restricting women's passport rights was unconstitutional.
The ruling came after a Kuwait woman sued her husband for refusing to let her and their three children obtain passports over fears that they could leave the country.
