GAZA STRIP, November 2 (RIA Novosti) - Israel released six Hamas lawmakers from jail on Monday, the al-Quds radio station said.
The men, all Hamas cabinet ministers, were arrested in 2006 after Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit was seized by Palestinian militants.
A total of 45 lawmakers were arrested in 2006 by Israel forces after Shalit's seizure. Hamas say that 15 of them still remain in Israeli jails.
Israel recently released 20 Palestinian female prisoners in exchange for a video clip proving that Shilat is still alive. The soldier is being held in the Gaza Strip, controlled by Hamas since the summer of 2007.
