NOVOSIBIRSK, November 6 (RIA Novosti) - Transport police in Siberia's Altai Territory detained three fare dodgers carrying 60 fir trees in a electric train, a police spokesman said on Friday.
"Police detained three local residents in an electric train heading to Barnaul earlier this week," the spokesman said.
He said the fare-dodgers had wanted to sell the trees in the build-up to New Year.
"The passengers failed to provide documents to prove the tries were cut down legally," the spokesman added.
