A store owner in the US state of Nevada confronted an unwanted intruder on Monday night, when the gunman shot him during a botched robbery attempt. The store owner in Fernley, 36-year-old Sam Singh, is recovering at an area hospital, after undergoing surgery on his shoulder and forearm after the intruder shot him twice.
Surveillance video from the store shows the masked gunman shooting at Singh.
Singh replies by throwing goods from the convenience store at the robber who attempts to leave through the back door which is locked.
The robber then has to charge back through the store to exit through the front door empty handed. According to local media, Singh is expected to make a full recovery and be reunited with his wife and two young daughters.
