Heavy rain hit parts of the United Kingdom on Thursday as the Environment Agency warned of flooding in large parts of the country.
Gale force winds struck North Wales as severe flood warnings were issued in Cumbria and Wales.
Roads were closed and homeowners in Hawick, Scotland prepared to counter potential flooding with sandbags.
The BBC reported that the Environment Agency's Floodline service received over 7-thousand calls in reference to the severe weather conditions in the last 24 hours.
High winds and heavy rain are forecast across many parts of Britain on Friday, according to the Met office, the UK's National Weather Service.
