Eight people have been injured in a household gas explosion in a residential building in Moscow's southeast, a law enforcement source said Saturday.
"Rescuers are evacuating people as fire is being extinguished in a residential building hit by an explosion," the source said. "Eight people are known to have been injured."
Several firefighting crews and rescuers are on the site; over 10 ambulances and gas specialists have been called.
The source said traffic on the Yunykh Lenintsev Street where the five-story building is situated has been blocked by police.
