MOSCOW, November 23 (RIA Novosti) - Four U.S. soldiers and three Afghan servicemen have been killed in bombings and shootings in Afghanistan over the past 24 hours, NATO said.
NATO'S International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said in a statement that three American soldiers were killed in south Afghanistan on Sunday in a bomb attack and a shootout, and that a fourth died in the country's east on Monday in a bombing.
Three Afghan soldiers died when a roadside bomb went off in the Helmand province on Sunday.
A total of 15 American soldiers have died in Afghanistan this month.
The killings come ahead of President Barack Obama's meeting with war advisers scheduled for this evening, at which he is expected to reach a decision on troop numbers. The meeting will be attended by Vice-President Joe Biden, Defense Secretary Robert Gates, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
