MOSCOW, December 7 (RIA Novosti) - An Indonesian citizen who died in a car crash near Moscow was the son of a staff member of the Indonesian embassy, an embassy official told RIA Novosti.
A Russian traffic police source earlier said four people, including the son of the Indonesian ambassador in Russia, died in a collision of a Zhiguli and a Honda Civic sedans near Moscow early on Sunday.
"It was not the ambassador's son, but the son of the embassy's staff member," the official said.
The head-on collision between the two cars occurred on the Borovskoye highway around 01:00 Moscow time [22:00 GMT on Saturday]. A Russian police officer, who drove the Zhiguli sedan and the Indonesian citizen, who drove Honda Civic, died at the scene.
Two passengers were also killed in the crash, while two others were injured.
Traffic police have launched an investigation into the causes of the accident.
