Latvians have been bringing flowers to the Russian Embassy in Riga as a sign of mourning for the victims of a horrific nightclub fire in Russia's Urals last week.
The death of two more people in hospital on Monday brought the death toll from Saturday's blaze in Perm's Lame Horse nightclub to 113. Over 120 people are still being treated in hospital, with 28 of them in a critical condition, according to the Russian Health Ministry.
Latvian Chas news website reported that starting early Monday people began laying flowers by the fence of the Russian Embassy and are still arriving at the Russian diplomatic mission.
The Russian Embassy in Latvia has also opened a book of condolences on Monday, which will be still available for those wishing to leave their condolences throughout Tuesday.
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said that no effort would be spared to assist the survivors of the blaze, which began during an indoor firework display.
