The quartet of Russians - Stanislav Donts, Stanislav Lakhtyukov, Yevgeny Korotyshkin and Yevgeny Lagunov - finished their qualifier with a result of 1 minute 32.08 seconds.
The previous world record of 1 minute 32.91 seconds was set last year by an Italian team.
