Two security cash couriers have been killed during an armed robbery in the southeast of the Russian capital, a top Moscow investigator said on Wednesday.
"One of the cash couriers was shot dead during the attack and the other died on his way to hospital," Anatoly Bagmet said.
A statement from the Moscow Investigation Committee said that unknown gunmen in a Lada car opened fire on the cash couriers as they were leaving the Moskva shopping center.
According to the statement, two couriers were killed and a third was wounded while the attackers took two bags with money and fled the scene.
The statement added that the sum of the stolen money is being established and the search for the attackers is underway.
