Japan's giant carmaker, Toyota Motor Corp., is recalling about 43,000 of its cars produced at company's plants in China due to engine defects.
AFP news agency said quoting company's spokesman Yuta Kaga that the recall involves four models, which are the Lexus ES 350, the Lexus RX 350, the Highlander SUV and the Previa minivan over defects, which could cause a sudden spill of engine oil.
In September, Toyota recalled some 4 million cars over sudden acceleration issues related to floor mats causing the gas pedal to get stuck.
Earlier in the month, another giant Japanese carmaker, Nissan Motor Corp., recalled about 310,000 cars due to cable defects, which could be the reason for faulty emergency brakes.
