Three people have died at a sawmill in Russia's Krasnoyarsk Territory, a local emergency spokeswoman said on Friday.
Elena Yastrebkova said the fire erupted at the sawmill in the Irbeiisky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Three unidentified people were found dead after firefighters extinguished the fire.
"The preliminary cause of the incident is fire safety rules violations while using heating equipment," she said.
Russia's Krasnoyarsk Territory has been hit by bitter cold. Temperatures plunged to minus 35-40 degrees Celsius (minus 31-40 Fahrenheit) with minus 53 degrees Celsius (minus 63.4 Fahrenheit) in some parts of the region. The shivery cold weather will remain in the area until Sunday.
