MOSCOW, January 2 (RIA Novosti) - Two people were killed and four injured when over 40 cars collided in Germany's southwest near the city of Freiburg due to heavy fog, the DPA news agency reported citing local police.
Police said the driver of a truck on the A5 highway saw an overturned car and slammed on the brakes, provoking the pileup.
The driver of the overturned car died on the site. An ambulance accidentally hit another person who got out of his car. He also died.
Police said the death toll could have been higher.
