Doctors took out scissors from a 60-year-old Indian man's stomach, which a doctor had forgotten to remove after an operation two years ago, Indian media reported on Saturday.
The latest surgery took three long hours and was concluded late on Friday at a government hospital in Chhattisgarh's Durg district, senior surgeon D.C. Jain told IANS.
Jain said the scissors were apparently left behind by a private doctor in December 2007, the Indo-Asian News Service reported.
"The patient is doing well and he is likely to be discharged within a week," Jain said over telephone. "The patient had been in unbearable pain for the last two years."
