Six people, including one child, in a house in the town of Ramenskoye near Moscow died of carbon monoxide poisoning on Sunday, a Moscow Region law enforcement source said.
"Because of malfunction with the heating system in a private house...10 people were poisoned by carbon monoxide. Six people died, including one child," the source said.
He said the four injured had been hospitalized and were in critical condition in intensive care.
Investigators were working at the scene to determine the cause of the problem, which was discovered at about 11.30 Moscow time (08:30 GMT).
