An Austrian man has set fire to his newly redecorated house in attempt to rid it of a mouse, Austrian radio said on Saturday.
A 39-year-old resident of the village of Hoehenfeld, in southeast Austria's Styria, was trying to inject polyurethane foam into a mouse hole he had traced in a wall of his house when the foam caught fire from a candle. The fire then spread onto the wall.
Some 30 firefighters were summoned to scene. A chief fire officer said the damage had been estimated at 5,000 euros ($7,200).
"Now the householder at least hopes he has got done with the mouse," the fire chief told Austrian radio.
