Russian rescuers have pulled four people from rubble in the quake-hit Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince, in the last twenty-four hours, a spokeswoman for the Russian Emergencies Ministry said on Sunday.
"The rescuers have pulled four people, including two children from the rubble. As of today, six people have been rescued. A total of 215 houses and two schools have been searched," the spokeswoman said.
A 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Haiti on Tuesday and almost leveled the country's capital of Port-au-Prince. A number of aftershocks followed.
The most recent quake, measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale, was registered some 60 km (37 miles) to the south of Port-au-Prince late on Friday night.
According to the latest figures, some 140,000 were killed in the quake, 250,000 were injured, and more than 3 million have been left without shelter.
Later in the day the Russian team will try to locate the Russian national, who worked in Port-au-Prince and was married to a Haitian woman. His wife said the man was likely to be under the rubble of their house.
