Russia’s first legal casino since laws clamping down on gambling were introduced in 2009 dubbed Orakul (Oracle) opened on January 30 in the Azov City special gambling zone bordering the Krasnodar territory and Rostov Region. Orakul was launched seven months after casinos across the country were shut down under a law confining all gambling activity to four specially designated areas.
